Tuesday, April 5, 2016

Welcome to our 2nd installment of Foodie For A Year Link Up.

If you are new to the link up please check out the announcement here and the first installment of my favorite valentines recipe here.

CourtneyJamieLizSarahWhitney and I are so excited to be sharing our favorite brunch-related recipes today.

I LOVE breakfast food so this is the category I am most excited about.

I decided to make a Biscuit and Gravy Casserole.

1 12 oz. tube refrigerated biscuits
6 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lb. sausage
1 cup shredded cheese

for the gravy:
4 tbsp. butter
4 tbsp. flour
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups milk.

Begin by cutting your biscuits into 8 pieces.

Place the pieces in your casserole dish.

Brown your sausage.

Whisk your six eggs, milk, salt and pepper together.

I used the same skillet for the gravy that I used for the sausage.
Place the 4 tbsp. butter into the sausage drippings.

Add the flour.

And the salt and pepper.

Slowly pour in the milk while whisking.

Layer the biscuits, sausage.

Egg mixture

Bake at 350 for 40 min.

I am so excited to try all of your recipes.
