Foodie For A Year Link Up - Valentine's Recipe

Tuesday, February 2, 2016

CourtneyJamieLizSarahWhitney, and I are so excited about our first installment in our Foodie For a Year series.

Our first theme is for Valentine's and we want you to share your favorite Valentine's Recipe.

My house is full of breakfast lovers so I decided to make
Double Chocolate Strawberry Muffins.

Ingredients:
2 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa powder
3/4 cups sugar
1 Tablespoon baking power
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup fresh strawberries, chipped in bite sized pieces
1 1/4 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips

Begin by preheating over to 350*
Line your muffin with liners or grease.
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.

Stir in strawberries until coated.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs. Whisk in milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
Add wet mixture to dry mixture and mix until well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.

Evenly divide the batter among the muffin pans.

Bake for 13-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of muffins comes out clean.

Serve with a big glass of milk!
Delicious!

This recipe will make 12 muffins.

Link up and share all of your yummy recipes!  I can't wait to eat them!
