Happy Tuesday and Happy last day of September.
October is my second favorite month... I love when the leaves start changing and Halloween is my second favorite holiday.  I love playing pretend and dress up!!!  And I LOVE decorating my house with all things HALLOWEEN!!!

Last Tuesday my father in law, poppy, wanted to take everyone out to eat.
We all met at Texas Roadhouse and had a great time.
There was even a clown who made balloon animals and Nicklas loved it!
Thanks for dinner Poppy!

I had to take Nicklas to school everyday last week due to Jamie's work schedule.  It was fun having some time together in the mornings.  Normally I wake him up to eat breakfast and then I have to tell him good bye.  Last week was cold here so I had to bundle him up for our drive to school!

We had a pretty busy weekend.
Jamie had Friday off so I finally gave in and we took Nicklas to get a hair cut.
My sister went with us because last time we went it was HORRIBLE!

We took him to a different place were he got to sit in a car.
He did better this time but not great, but anything is better than last time!

After our hair cute Kellyn and I went to pick up Brooklyn and we came home to watch Jamie's dad and a tree climber take down a tree in our back yard.
I know this sounds boring to most people but Brooke and Nick loved it... it also kept Kellyn and I entertained for about 2 hours.

Jamie and I went to a wedding on Saturday.  The weather was perfect and the wedding was beautiful.  Congrats Bobby and Carrie.

My parents watched Nicklas for us while we were at the wedding.  Of course my sweet sister sent me pictures the entire night!

Nicklas slept until 8:30 the next morning and laughed in his sleep all night.... so I know he had the best time!
Thank you mom, dad, and Kellyn for watching Nicklas!
We love you.

Saturday night when we pulled up to my parents house to pick up Nicklas, Abby was on the front porch going crazy.  As we got closer we saw why...

ugh.....  I freaked!!  Thankful it didn't bite abby and thankful that it is GONE!!

Please leave me comments... I would love to know who is visiting!  I love having blog friends!!
I hope you all have a great week!

Waiting Rooms.... ugh....

Happy Fall everyone!

We had a great weekend.

Friday started off with Kellyn surprising me and Nicklas.  We were so excited when we heard her knock on the door.  Kellyn took Nicklas to pick up some breakfast so that I could begin getting ready for our busy day.

Our first stop was Nicks 2 year well check.

Nicks speech was a big topic at this visit.  His doctor said that since I am seeing such a huge explosion of words since we have started a new school that she is ok with waiting until the beginning of next year to re evaluate.  As long as his hearing test came back normal!

After the doctor we headed to pick up some lunch... someone didn't make it that far!

Kellyn and I ate our lunch in the car and let sweet Nicklas rest... he still had a long day ahead of him!
I will not post about what happened in the car while me and Kellyn were eating and waiting for Nicklas to wake up.

We had to wake up Nicklas so that we could be on time for our hearing test appointment.
Then.... we waited in the waiting room for an HOUR!  I was not happy.  Thank goodness Aunt K was there to keep us both sane.

Nicks hearing test went great.  The doctor said his ears look perfect!!

I would like to give a huge shout out to my sister for going with us on Friday.  We were gone from 9 - 4 so it was a long, long day.  Thank you for giving up your Friday to help us Kellyn.  We love you most!

And while we are on the subject of Kellyn, please check out how pretty my niece is!

Is she not the most beautiful thing you have ever seen!!!

Saturday was spent laying around the house.  I made a beef stew in the crock pot and we all just relaxed.  It was nice.

Sunday we had a wonderful time at church and then had lunch with some friends.

Nicklas loved getting to set with his friends.

After church we came home and had to clean and re adjust our car seats so Nicklas went for a Sunday cruise.

The rest of our Sunday was spent napping and playing!

This morning we took some selfies!

Paw Patrol was very interesting!

He is such a sweet boy... I am so blessed to be his mommy!

Have a great week!

Nicklas is 2.

We have had a busy weekend!

Friday night Kellyn and Brooke came over to visit.  Kellyn brought us ribs and said she wanted to see her favorite 1 year old one more time before he turned 2.  Kellyn went to help me pick out an outfit for our family pictures and Jamie sent us both this pic!
Hey... at least they were having fun!

Saturday, the 13th, was Nicks actual birthday.  I woke up early and made a big breakfast.

We sang Happy Birthday to him and put a candle in his chocolate chip pancakes!
Then we opened presents from mom and dad!

He loves his Lightning McQueen car that lights up and talks and his Lightning McQueen pillow pet!

Jamie was sick so Kellyn, Brooke, Nicklas and I packed up to go visit Pupol, it was his birthday also!
Aunt Debbie, Kendyl and McKayla also came to visit the birthday boys!
Debbie was nice enough to take us all out to eat.

Every single one of them will probably get mad at me for posting these pics but don't I have a good looking family! :)
After eating we had an impromptu photo shoot outside of the restaurant.

Brooklyn loves these girls so much!

The birthday boys... 2 of my favorite.  I remember being so excited when I woke up on the 13th 2 years ago having contractions! ha!
(Also check out Nicks shoes that Debbie, Kendyl, and McKayla got him... they light up!)

Debbie, Kendyl, and McKayla,
Thanks for coming to visit and for making Nicks birthday so special.  We love ya'll!

Sunday evening we met our favorite photographer in Tryon to take our annual family pictures.  She sent me a sneak peak!

I just can't handle the cuteness.  I am so thankful for a patient and talented photographer!!
Thank you for all you do Chandi!

That evening we decided since it was late to pick up a pizza and have a picnic in the living room.

Monday morning Nicklas wore one of his new shirts he got at his birthday party, we sent this pic to Lindsey... she got it for him!

Last night we turned on A Bug's Life....

Someone really enjoyed it.

Nicklas at 2 years old:
* We go for his 2 year old well check on Friday so I will update weight and height then.
* Wearing size 3t shirts and size 24 months/2t pants.
* Wears size 7 1/2 - 8 shoe.
* Still wearing size 4 diapers.
* LOVES Paw Patrol recently.  Says Paw Patrol and points at the TV.
* When you tell him to say Bye he blows a kiss.
* Every time he walks into the room he says Hey.
* Has finally started to call me Momma.
* Covers his mouth and says Toodles when watching Mickey Mouse Club.
* Also says Cheers when they use a mouse - ka - tool.
* Jamie and I will snore and act like we are asleep, Nicklas will tap us to wake us up then he will snore with his eyes open until we tickle him to wake him up.
* Loves peek-a-boo, he will say "wheres Nick" then say pee-boo.
* Loves singing The Wheels on the Bus.  He loves the part about the mommys on the bus and will say shhh shhh with his finger over his mouth.  We always stop and let him say "all threw the town."
* Has started using a spoon pretty well.  He does get tired of it half way threw his meal though!
* Will mimic almost everything we tell him to say.
* Some new words he has learned and he knows what they mean are shoe, car, red, eat, bite, bath, momma.
* Is very loving and sweet.  He loves to cuddle.  He still plays with my eyelashes while falling asleep.

Nicklas,
Mommy and Daddy are so blessed.  2 years ago you made us a family and we couldn't be happier.  We love you so much.  You are funny, sweet, smart and handsome.  You make us proud every single day.  Your smile makes our day and lights up a room.  You are so loved by so many.
Happy 2nd birthday sweet boy.
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

So now on to some not so good news.
Last week when I picked up Nick at school his teachers told me that they don't think he is hearing the way he should.  That he may not be hearing certain pitches.  I some what knew he was behind on his speech and talking but I thought it was due to him being a boy...  I decided to go ahead and call his doctor and they referred us to and ENT.  This Friday he has a hearing test and his 2 year old shots.  Have any of you other moms encountered something like this?
